blue

This series came about after the loss of my mother. Stricken with grief, I lost myself to the void and didn't paint for a while, and that was a period of 5 months. Deep in the blue, I knew I have to do something, especially for Mom. So, it has to be blue, a portrait of her, perhaps. Thus, I turned to Picasso, the man famous for his Blue Period. I began painting his wives and mistresses, instead. Before long, the blue series was born.
